The founders of Furnitureopia play active roles in giving back to society through different activities. They launched the "Giving back program" to share their success with great charities that make a difference to people's lives.
Each year Furnitureopia.com chooses a charity to work with and we make generous contributions to charity programs around the world.

2009 Charity of Choice

D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education). The D.A.R.E. program was founded in 1983 in Los Angeles and is now implemented in 75% of our nation's school districts and in 43 countries. The program gives kids the skills they need to avoid being involved in drugs, violence & gangs. D.A.R.E. is a police officer led classroom training program teaching kids from kindergarten to 12th grade to resist peer pressure and lead productive drug free lives.
Furnitureopia.com really values the contribution D.A.R.E. makes to improve the lives of our children through their excellent in-school training programs. We are happy to know our contributions add value and benefit to this charitable cause.

2010 Charity Suggestions

We always want to hear from our customers as they prepare to choose their charity of choice for 2010. If you have suggestions for charitable causes that you would like us to consider please email us at charity@furnitureopia.com . We will evaluate all suggestions and announce the charity we choose in December 2009. We thank you in advance for your ideas and suggestions and want you to know we value each of your choices. Due to high response we get we may not be able to respond to each email we receive on charitable suggestions, however we do take every response into consideration.

The environment and our contribution to ensure we are protecting the natural capital of trees and forests are very important. Alongside this we focus on ensuring our processes are recycling friendly and our business makes a conscious effort to improve the environment.

Plant A Tree

We support the American Forests Organization and their extensive Plant A Tree Programs. The organization is a world leader in planting trees to restore the environment. They are one of the nation’s oldest and most experienced conservation organizations. By scientifically identifying areas that have conservation issues they then develop practical solutions to address these.
Every quarter Furnitureopia.com will contribute 1% of its sales proceeds to this program as they find it one of the most practical and impactful in the USA.

Reducing our Carbon Footprint
We continue to improve our operations to ensure we leave as small a carbon footprint as possible. We ensure we are recycling everything we can and using the most environmentally friendly products in our offices and operations.
